Principal Welcome

Welcome to Jinibara State School

I feel very privileged to be the Principal of this wonderful school.  We have a very warm staff who love coming to work everyday to support our young people and who are both passionate and dedicated to doing whatever it takes to support all students to achieve success academically, socially and emotionally.  This is fostered through staff placing a high priority on fostering and growing strong, positive and caring relationships between students, families and other staff.  This strong connected partnership ensures that we are able to support all students to engage successfully with a wide range of learning activities, enjoy positive social interactions with their peers and feel success at school. This dedication and focus ensures our motto of “Pride, Respect, Knowledge" is a foundation for all that we do.

In our learning community, we value our students, learning, our staff, our families and our wider community.  We design learning experiences that build on learner strengths and create new knowledge using a range of research and evidence based teaching strategies.  This ensures our students with diverse learning styles are supported and catered for in order to grow their love of learning and their experience of success with learning.  We use the Australian curriculum to ensure that students are taught clear and cohesive content, and each year are able to build upon the knowledge and understanding that they have achieved in previous years.  Jinibara State School teachers and all support staff inspire a love of learning for students as they know this is at the heart of effective teaching.  They work with individual students to learn about who they are as people, their interests, their strengths, their needs and support students to set goals for their own learning that sets high expectations for success and improvement.  Teachers and all staff also set the expectation that we our respectful and proud of our school, ourselves, each other and our learning.  This expectation for the way that we engage with others, engage with learning and seek support when we need it, makes our school a great learning place to be for everyone.
