Under Eight's - Grand Parent's Day

Under 8’s day / Grand Parent's day, at Jinibara State School is a wonderful time for children, family and the community to gather together to share activities and skills specifically  designed for children under the age of eight.  Guests are invited who represent key organisations, such as the police, fire brigade, ambulance and the local high school. Students showcase their talents through the choir and band performances.  Our Prep to Year 3 teachers design hands on activities for the children to complete during the morning.

Grandparent's Day is a chance for our children and our community to thank grandparents for their love and support. At Jinibara we will celebrate Grandparent's Day on Friday 30 October, as we celebrate Under 8s and the Day for Daniel.
Grandparent's Day recognises the significant contribution that grandparents make to their families and communities. The day is celebrated annually in Queensland on the last Sunday in October.
Day for Daniel
To further highlight awareness by our children of how to keep themselves safe, all students are invited to substitute a red shirt in place of their school uniform shirt on the Day for Daniel
